Obituary for James Ray Osborne James Ray Osborne, age 63, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in Carthage, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Carthage, Texas on April 14, 1955 to Ezra and Katie Mae (Adams) Osborne. James graduated from Carthage High School with the Class of 1973 and graduated from Texas State Technical College in Marshall, Texas.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and worked many years as a truck driver. James loved fishing, cooking, especially grilling outdoors and loved going to the casinos. James will be remembered fondly for his ability to run like a jack rabbit!

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. James is preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Katie Osborne; his brother, David Osborne and his sisters, Mary Owens and Louise Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Patrecia Ann Osborne; his special friend, Beverly Taylor; his children, Sharika Osborne, Latresa Osborne, Lynn Taylor, Chris Taylor, James Colter, Jayla Hunnicutt and Katie Harper and her husband, Kevin.

He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Desmond Hill, Tytanya Osborne, Jamal Harper, Zariah Grissiom and DeQaviun Harper; his brother, Joseph Osborne and his wife, Sherri; his sister, Jessie Mae Osborne; his nieces, Lisa Smith and her husband, Willie, Brenda Matlock and her husband, Travis, Latasha Gbemi and her husband, Everett and Debrah Hilscher; his nephews, DeWayne Pope and his wife, Cecily, Anthony Pope, Travis Owens, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, Wayne Owens and his wife, Teresa, Carlos Muckleroy, Wayne Muckleroy and many other family members and friends who were blessed by his friendship. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, January 4, 2019 at First Assembly of God in Christ Church, 507 CR 110, Carthage, Texas 75633. Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at First Assembly of God in Christ Church with Rev.

Hubert Owens and Rev. Eric Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Hollands Quarters Cemetery in Carthage, Texas.

Repass will be held at the Turner Community Center, 1023 Martin Luther King Blvd. , Carthage, Texas. Pallbearers will be Lynn Taylor, Christopher Taylor, James Colter, Kevin Harper, Desmond Hill, DeWayne Pope and DeWayne Muckleroy.
