Jana Rae Yocom Cook died peacefully at the Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City, Utah on the morning of July 9, 2018. Jana was the daughter of Frank Raymond and Lou Mae Cottam Yocom and born December 10, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was sealed to Joseph David Cook for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 28, 1985.

Jana and David were the parents of one daughter Ashley Anne Cook. Jana is survived by her parents, her sister Lee Ann Williams and brother Barry Yocom as well as her husband David Cook and daughter Ashley Cook. Jana graduated from Cottonwood High School and served a mission in the Houston Texas Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was a graduate of LDS Business College. In her later years she indexed many thousands of names for the indexing program of Family Search. Jana was a devoted mother and wife.

She was skilled in handiwork and awarded numerous blue ribbons at the local fair for her creations. She excelled in many crafts including wall-hanging’s and painting wood and ceramics. She participated with her husband and daughter in Amateur Radio her call was KE7VRD.

She was generous, loving, and kind. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Perry Second Ward Chapel located at 2415 South 900 West. There will be a viewing Friday, July 13 from 6 to 8 pm at the Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E. Brigham City and also Saturday prior to the funeral at 9:30 to 10:40 am at the church.

Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery immediately following the funeral. The family expresses appreciation to the physicians and caregivers of the Pioneer Care Center for their loving care. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund or the Missionary Fund.
