Obituary for Janet M. Kosciuszko Janet M. Kosciuszko, Saginaw Twp. , Michigan. Loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at HealthSource Saginaw.

Age 83 years. Daughter of the late Carl Griswold and Mary Heit, Janet was born September 16, 1935 in Flint, Michigan. She was married to Richard Kosciuszko on January 28, 1956.

He predeceased her January 25, 1998. Janet retired as the Cafeteria Manager at Nouvel Catholic Central High School. After 25 years of service, the cafeteria, “Kozy’s Kitchen, was named in her honor.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and she was inducted into the Saginaw Catholic Schools Hall of Fame in 2006, for her many years of dedication to Catholic Education and athletics. She enjoyed coaching girls youth basketball, loved all sports, and was an avid reader. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters and two sons, Dr. Mark (Claudette) Kosciuszko, Belmont, Michigan; Shawn (Leonard) Ozerajtys, Alger, Michigan; Christopher (Dawn Marie) Kosciuszko, Cary, North Carolina; Shari Kosciuszko, Saginaw; one grandson, Kyle Kosciuszko; her sister, Phyllis (Don) Glay, Mt.

Morris, Michigan; several special step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews especially Sandra and Gary Barber. Janet was preceded in death by granddaughter, Victoria Kosciuszko and her sister, Dorothy Bailey. The family of Janet would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the entire staff of HealthSource Saginaw, particularly the Patriot Neighborhood, for their love and excellent care of Janet.

Honoring Mrs. Kosciuszko’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place later.
