Obituary for John N. Callahan Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at HealthSource Saginaw. Age 83 years. The son of the late Frank and Anne (Motel) Callahan, John was born January 4, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan.

He married Ruth E. Ladebauche, his loving wife of 64 years, on November 13, 1954. She survives him. John was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear for 37 years until his retirement in 1990.

He enjoyed traveling, hunting, clay target shooting and singing. Most of all, John loved spending time with family and friends. Surviving besides his wife Ruth are one son and one daughter, Joseph Callahan and Tracy Jackson; Ann Marie and Andy Blank; grandchildren, Eric and Emily Reed, Matt and Heather Seibel and Brian Seibel, Meaghan, Melanie and Cameron Blank; great-grandchildren, Kyra, Olivia and Amelia Reed, Kyle, Noah, Kaleb and Jamelynn Seibel; John’s brothers and sisters, Bob and Laura Callahan, Patrick Callahan, Jeanie and Tom Masica, Janet and Rick Helmer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, JoAnn Davidson, Lois Edlinger, Joyce Callahan, Veronica Callahan, Dawn Callahan; many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by two daughters and a son-in-law, Maureen Bloodworth, Debbie and Bob Reed, siblings, Frank and Patricia Callahan, Mike, David and Ron Callahan, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Lillian Ladebauche, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lee Long, Ralph and Ann Ladebauche and Jim Davidson. Honoring Mr. Callahan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
