Jay C. Frazier, of Mill Hall, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at the UPMC Williamsport Regional Medical Center, He was born April 18, 1942 to Jacob A. and Ethel Herman Frazier. On July 1st, 1961 he married Diane Liddick, who survives at home. Jay graduated from LHHS, class of 1960.

He then worked at the former Clinton Paper Co. In 1996 he joined the Lock Haven Police Department. He retired in 2001. His last seven years, he served as police chief for the department.

He also worked part time as the police chief for the Woodward Twp. Police Department for 12 years. Jay graduated from the Allentown Police Academy.

He held a certification as firearms instructor. Jay was a member of the Lafayette Lodge #199, Williamsport Consistory, NRA. He was a former past president of the Mill Hall Kiwanis.

He was of the protestant faith Jay is survived by his mother, Ethel Frazier of Lock Haven, a son Jay A. Frazier (Brenda) of Beech Creek, a daughter; Julie Frazier (Craig Conti) of Mill Hall. Three grandchildren; Brandon Conner, Ashley Wynn (Devon), and Elizabeth Williams (Joe), and three great grandchildren, Owen and Jacob Williams, and James Wynn, a sister; Janice Peters (John) of Lamar, Brother-in-law David Liddick (Carol) of Lock Haven, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. Jay was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Frazier.

A celebration of Jay’s life will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 121W. Main St. , Lock Haven. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the services.

Officiating will be Pastor Karl Steele of the Orviston Bible Church. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
