Jean’s Obituary Jean Smith, age 92, of Texarkana, Texas passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Smith was born April 27, 1926 in Corinth Mississippi and was retired from First National Bank as a department manager. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Smith; her parents, Leonard and Lillian Beard of Hugo, Oklahoma; one brother, James L. Beard of Hugo, Oklahoma; three sisters, Shirley Ann Chesney of Andrews, Texas, Rosemary McAlister of Rattan, Oklahoma, and Hallene Foster of Hugo, Oklahoma.

Survivors include two brothers, Don Beard of Poteau, Oklahoma and Kenneth Beard of Spencerville, Oklahoma; two sisters, Barbara Adams of Paris, Texas and Linda Weber of Grand Lake, Oklahoma; one step-grandson, Mike Smith of Texarkana, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, February 18, 2019 at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Bro. James Beard of Andrews, Texas officiating. Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 Sunday evening at the funeral home. Online registration @www.
