Jean Woodard Dean February 10, 1929 – February 18, 2019 On the day of February 10, 1929, Jean, a beautiful baby girl was born to Joseph and Ella Woodard in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She was the youngest of 3 children. The family moved to Utah and settled in Pleasant Grove where they lived for many years.

Jean married Donald Walker, they were later divorced. Three daughters were born of that union; Janis, Holly and Marcy. ln July of 1968 Jean married Don D. Dean and the family expanded to include Don’s 3 children; Diana, David and Connie.

Jean worked at the Provo State Hospital and Wasatch Mental Health for many years. She earned the respect and love of her co-workers as well as her many patients. Don and Jean moved to Birdseye, Utah where they lived for over 25 years.

Many wonderful memories were made in Birdseye. After enduring seasons of cold and snow, Mom and Dad agreed they would like to move to a warmer area and found a cozy home in Hurricane Utah. There they lived out their lives together.

Don passed away February 13, 2014. Jean is survived by two daughters Janis (Clarke) Walker Forsyth and Holly Walker, her grandchildren; Ben Forsyth, Bonnie Forsyth-Combs, Marcy Neeley, Sean Neeley and many great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Marcy Lou Walker and grandson James Booth.

It was the wish of Don and Jean to remain together in death as they did in life and so they will be laid to rest with one another and next to Marcy in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Our family wishes to offer our most sincere love and appreciation to Mom’s neighbors; Dee, Pete, James and Rose for your love and concern for our parents.

Thanks too, for the classy Catholic ladies who came with sacraments and laughter. We also wish to express our appreciation to the Legacy House of Ogden and heartfelt gratitude to her health care provider, Sheri Schlagel and Inspiration Home Healthcare and Hospice for their gentle guidance and compassion. Thanks also to Myers Mortuary for the thoughtful care they provided.

Send condolences to the family at www.
