Kathleen Morrow Girard June 30, 1944 – February 14, 2019 Kathleen Morrow Girard passed away peacefully on February 14, 2019 at the age of 74. She was surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born June 30, 1944 in Salt Lake City Utah to Joseph and Naomi Neilson Morrow.

Kathleen was the middle of three children. She is preceded in death by her mother, Naomi, step-father, Dallas Coolbear, and grandson, Kyle Savant. She is survived by her brother, sister and children; Cynthia (William) Plantz, Kristina Girard, Bruce (Kim) Girard, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.

Kathleen loved baton twirling and often led the band in Brigham City’s Peach Days parade. Kathleen also loved bowling and dancing which she continued to do even after a childhood spinal surgery. Kathleen worked for many years with both the FBI and as an administrative assistant at Hill Air Force Base (Layton, Ut).

Kathleen was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She often spoke with friends and neighbors about her grandchildren’s activities and life events.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In her later years, she was known as the “church grandma” by some of the primary children. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in the Layton 38th Ward, 725 S 200 E; Layton, Utah.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:50 am with the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Honeyville, Utah Cemetery. Condolences are appreciated and can be left for the family at www.
