Obituary for Jerry Strickland Jerry Strickland, 67 of Asbury Park, was born in Gainesville, Georgia; He came to New Jersey at a very early age, where he met his High School sweetheart, Cheryl D. Harris, whom he later married. He departed his life at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ on May 3, 2018 at 4:26pm. Jerry was a hardworking man who loved his job at PepsiCo and truly dedicated himself as a truck driver for over four decades.

Many knew him as Pop –Pop and father to many others. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl D. Strickland; sister, Wendy Randolph Ahmed of Beaford, GA; two sons, Jerry D. Strickland of Garland, TX; David J. Strickland of Oxford, NJ; one daughter, Corienthia A. L. Strickland of Asbury Park; one daughter in law, Tiffany Strickland of Oxford, NJ; one brother in law, Isaac L. Harris of Pottstown, PA; one sister in law, Lenore Hester of Asbury Park, NJ; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
