Warren Jerome Wiegard, 71, of Burlington, died at 10:54 AM Thursday, June 14, 2018, at his home in Burlington. Born January 15, 1947, in Burlington, he was the son of Warren Blaine and Virginia Arelene Oetken Wiegard. He retired from the Burlington River Terminal after working there for many years.

He graduated from Burlington High School in 1965. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war. He was a member of the Burlington Gym and VFW.

He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and cards. Survivors include his ex-wives Vanesse McFarland of Fort Madison, Vianney Smith of Florida; two daughters, Jennifer Wiegard of Burlington and Jill Wiegard of Florida; two grandchildren; three brothers, James Wiegard of Burlington, Dennis Wiegard of New London, and Martin Wiegard of Burlington; and one sister, Marilyn Burgus of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and one daughter, Jessica.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life for Jerry will be at the Burlington Gym following the visitation.
