OBITUARY Joe Marvin Aderholt March 25, 1936 – October 12, 2018 Funeral service for Joe Marvin Aderholt will be held Monday, October 15, 2018, at Gray Brown-Service Funeral Home in Anniston at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until time of service. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Cemetery at Golden Springs.

Mr. Aderholt passed away peacefully Friday, October 12, 2018 at his home, with his devoted wife of sixty years by his side. Mr. Aderholt is survived by his wife, Jane Finley Aderholt, two daughters, Alison Aderholt Gossett (Paul) and Angie Aderholt Pentecost (Tommy); five grandson, Paul Gossett, Jr. (Lana), Jason Gossett (Mandy), Colby Gossett, Lee Pentecost and Alan Pentecost; one granddaughter, Crystal Gossett Tolbert (Brad); nine great-grandchildren, Shelbie Gossett, Lacey Gossett, Laynie Gossett, Lyllian Gossett, Hannah Kate Tolbert, Breeley Gossett, Brooks Gossett, Candace Vicente and Cody Glover; and four great-great-grandchildren, Eli Vicente, Malaki Vicente, Canaan Vicente and Kinsley Glover. He is also survived by a sister, Lucille Aderholt Swafford and a brother, Harold Aderholt (Geneva).

Mr. Aderholt was preceded in death by his parents, John Dean Aderholt and Myrtle Lee Green Aderholt, as well his sister Katheryne Aderholt Morris and her husband, John, his sister Beatrice Aderholt Fleming, and her husband, O’Neal, as well as a brother-in-law, Billy Kyle Smith. Pallbearer will be sons-in-law Paul Gossett, Sr. and Tommy Pentecost, and grandsons, Paul Gossett, Jr., Jason Gossett, Colby Gossett, Lee Pentecost, Alan Pentecost and Brad Tolbert. Mr. Aderholt was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County.

He was a 1955 graduate of Alexandria High School and was a member of First Baptist Church of Weaver. He retired from M&H Valve and the Army National Guard. He was also as avid Alabama fan.

He loved vegetable gardening which he always said that his father-in-law, Claude Finley, taught him. He loved helping people and always loved to sing. He sang in the choir at First Baptist Church of Weaver for many years.
