Obituary for Mr. John Aaron “Big John” Taylor John Aaron “Big John” Taylor, 86, husband of the late Dessie Viola Hudgins Taylor, of 962 West Branch Avenue, Newry, passed away, Monday, July 9, 2018, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. A native of Anderson, SC, Mr. Taylor was the son of the late Logan T. and Bessie Edmonds Taylor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army ranking as SPEC 4 and he later retired from Kendall.

Mr. Taylor was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Taylor is survived by his sons: Lamar Taylor (Margaret) of Seneca, SC and Larry Taylor (Rita) of Seneca, SC; daughter: Donna O’Dell (Larry) of Clemson, SC; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his daughter: Darlene Taylor; grandson: Josh Kelly; two brothers and three sisters.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Courtney Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Walhalla American Legion Relief Fund, P.O. Box 1026, Walhalla, SC 29691. The family is at the home.
