Obituary for Mr. Raymond Douglas Singleton Raymond Douglas Singleton, 76, of 1243 Singleton Road, Westminster passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Seneca Health and Rehab. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Singleton was the son of the late J. P. and Geneva Smith Singleton. He received his Bachelors and Masters degree from Brenau University and later retired from the City of Seneca as a Sanitation Supervisor.

Mr. Singleton was a longtime director of the Westminster Recreation Department. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Singleton is survived by sisters: Patricia Rothell (Dave) of Powdersville, SC, Jane Ramey (Dean) of Raleigh, NC, Mary Harvey (Jerry) of Easley, SC, Cary Caines (Royce) of Seneca, SC and Della Gardner (Jerry) of Westminster, SC; brother: Wilburn T. “Bill” Singleton (Sandra) of Westminster, SC; six nephews and one niece.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Singleton was preceded in death by a sister: Dorothy Sheriff. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 PM, Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
