Obituary for Mr. Porter Lathel Dobson Porter Lathel Dobson, 59, husband of Sonya Carver Dobson, of 326 Northwoods Drive, Walhalla, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018, at his home. A native of Central, SC, Mr. Dobson was the son of Betty Sue Mullinex Dobson of Fort Myers, FL and the late Charles Milton Dobson. He worked at Itron as a line operator and was a mason.

Mr. Dobson was a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church in Central, SC. In addition to his mother and wife, Mr. Dobson is survived by his sons: Jared Lathel Dobson and Joshua Coty Dobson both of Walhalla, SC; sister: Marcia Ross (Bruce) of Fort Myers, FL; grandson: Jacob Lathel Dobson; and nephew: James Nicholas Marchbanks (Gina) of Fort Myers, FL. In addition to his father, Mr. Dobson was preceded in death by his sister: Emma Kathryn Dobson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 24, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted.
