Obituary for Mrs. Kathryn “Kitty” J Neumann KATHRYN “KITTY” J. NEUMANN- 85 Years old went to be with her Lord & Savior on September 10, 2018 at the Cottingham Hospice House. She was the baby of eight children born to Zeb & Sota Lusk Jones of Cashiers, NC. She met and married the love of her life, Wencel “Joe” Neumann.
They made their home in Clemson and enjoyed 9 years of marriage. He preceded her in death in 2009. Kitty had a talent when it came to decorating their home for each season, but Christmas was special to her as well as to the family.
She could be heard humming a song of contentment as she decorated their home. Kitty will be remembered by her Grandchildren for the love she showed them. For her feisty, fun loving, quick wit personality.
For the games they played: Hide & Seek with the rubber Easter eggs, playing Jack in the Bush & playing with her bag of marbles. They will miss hearing her say her favorite word. Her life was a living example of loving Jesus & loving others.
A Bible verse that outlines this example is Ephesians 4:32, “Be Kind and Compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God Also forgave you in Christ”. Life lessons she taught us………. Her children were loved each equally.
Her heart was big enough to love our spouses and her grandchildren and their spouses……That right was right and wrong was wrong…. . When something bothers you just say oh, and let it go.
Above all she placed her trust in the Lord. She is survived by her family whom she loved deeply. Her daughters- Sherry (Randal) Stephenson, Sheila (Ronnie) Wald, Susan (Kevin) Landreth.
Grandchildren-Shanna (Daniel) Kahl, Austin (Becca) Wald, Kathryn Landreth, Carmen (Austin) O’Kelley & Noah Landreth. Her twin sisters Evelyn Jones Passmore & Carolyn Martin. She was preceded in death by her beloved Son, Scott McCoy, Husband Joe, Parents, brothers-Harold, Javan & Edward Jones; Sisters- Winifred Lusk & Mildred Hooper.
To the team of compassionate caregivers that makes up Hospice of the Foothills/Cottingham House, thank you for loving Kitty & our family unconditionally & without hesitation. -We love you. A celebration of Kitty’s life will be held at Snow Creek Baptist Church, on Friday, September 14th @ 7:00 pm.
