Obituary for Mr. Richard Davis Neal Richard Davis Neal, 77, husband of Shirley Couch Neal, of 54 Kristen Drive, Walhalla, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at GHS Cottingham Hospice House. A native of Oconee County, he was the son of the late Jubie Strother Neal and Mary Wilson Neal. He was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Church of God faith.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Neal is survived by a daughter: Lisha Hood (Chris) of Walhalla; grandchildren: Kristen Stancil (Andrew) of Seneca and Sam Hood of Walhalla; brothers: Donnie Neal of Walhalla, Wallace “Bud” Neal, Dennis Neal and Doyle Neal all of Seneca; sisters: Marlene Smith of Westminster, Doris Kelley, Hazel Evans and Rita Gregory all of Seneca. In addition to his parents, Mr. Neal was preceded in death by a brother: Horace Neal. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home.

A private family committal service will be held at a later date. In lieu of the flowers, memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, GHS Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672. The family is at their respective homes.
