Obituary for Ms. Helena Dilworth Helena Dilworth, 92, of Walhalla, SC, passed away Tuesday September 18, 2018, at Oconee County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Walhalla First Baptist Church. Ms. Dilworth was born in Oconee County, SC, a daughter of the late Joseph Vineyard and Bert Hunsinger Dilworth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Ruby Dilworth and Meta Neville; brothers: J.B. Dilworth, Robert Dilworth, Zeddie Dilworth, Cecil Dilworth and John Dilworth. Surviving are her sisters: Lalla Fowler of Walhalla, SC, Rena Hamilton of Bowling Green, KY and Nonnie Marett of Hartwell, GA; and a brother: Ronnie Dilworth of Gastonia, NC. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

The relationship between them was truly special and she will be greatly missed by all. Helena was respected in banking and served the community for over forty years. Starting with The Bank of Walhalla and retired with First Union National Bank.

Upon Ms. Dilworth’s retirement, the bank’s executive message stated “Helena is one of the main reasons First Union has been so successful in Walhalla”. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM, Friday, September 21, 2018, at Walhalla First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM.
