Obituary for John Dominic Tramontin John Dominic Tramontin, 83, passed away on December 23, 2018, at his home. He was born in Ann Arbor on December 11, 1935, son of Paul D. and Michelina A. (Sesta) Tramontin. He graduated from St. Thomas High School, class of 1953, playing football in his senior year.

John married Donna J. Dally on February 23. 1957. Being a young man in the ‘50’s John was, as most, an avid fan of cars and that stayed with him all his life, becoming a hobby of restoring classic muscle cars.

John loved fishing and hunting and was especially proud to have had the privilege of bagging an elk in 1964’s first Michigan elk hunt. John retired, after 40 years in the ceramic tile field as a master tile setter with his father’s business, Tramontin Tile Co., teaching his two sons the trade. He was affiliated with Local #14 and later with Local #9, Lansing.

He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving John are his wife Donna and their three children, Eric, Rita and Todd, one grandson Tony and daughter in law, Holly. Other survivors are his five siblings, Ann Rogers (Art), Sam Tramontin (Chris), Joseph Tramontin (Jeannie), Paul Tramontin (Mary Jane) and Michael Tramontin (Eileen) and many nieces and nephews.
