John R. Farris, 73, of Blandinsville passed away at 7:58 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 at hs residence. He was born on July 7, 1944 in Abingdon to Irene Wells. He married Marietta Foster on April 16, 1963 in Macomb.

She survives. Also surviving are his mother, Irene Wells of Galesburg; two sons, William (Rosetta) Farris of Galesburg and Carl (Sheila) Farris of Augusta; two daughters, Lucinda (Tom) Graham of Michigan and Patricia Osborn of Iowa; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one brother, Jim Curtis of East Galesburg. He is preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Perkins.

John lived in Cameron for many years before moving to Blandisnville in 2006. He worked for ADM in Galesburg and Midwest Awning. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at South Cemetery in Blandinsville.

There will be no visitation. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Blandinsville is in charge of arrangements.
