Obituary for John Thomas Tedder Gore Springs—John Thomas Tedder, 53, a retired Pastor, passed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Born August 22, 1965 in Vardaman, he was the son of James Thomas and Linda Tedder. He was a 1983 graduate of Grenada High School, and a 2009 graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Bachelor of Divinity degree.

He and Becky were married on November 24, 1990, and together they have raised two wonderful daughters. They were members of Clear Spring Baptist Church. His primary passions were Falconry and Beekeeping.

He loved being outdoors, either woodworking or horseback riding, and occasionally hunting and fishing. He also was a Black Belt in Isshinryu Karate. Above all, his family and his faith were the things that mattered most to him.

He cherished his family deeply, and his memory will live on forever in their hearts. Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Tedder family. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Sunday, September 16, 2018, at 2:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home.

There will also be a visitation on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Bro. Joey Faulk will be officiating.

Interment will follow at Midway Cemetery in Vardaman, MS. Pallbearers will be Allen Green, Bobby Joe Cummins, David Miller, Jr., Jamie Keith Arrington, Hubert Tedder, and Richmond Hubbard Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Hollis, Billy Joe Arrington, and D.J. Arrington. He leaves behind his wife of almost 28 years, Rebecca “Nina” Tedder; two daughters; Jamie Nicole Tedder of Grenada, and Melanie Miller (David, Sr.) of Georgetown, MS; his parents, James Thomas and Linda Tedder of Grenada, MS; and 3 grandchildren, David Miller Jr., Grace Anne Miller, and Phoenix Collin Adams.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Lee and Etheline Tedder, and Ruby Nichols Tedder, and Ben and Nellie Arrington; and an uncle, Harold Tedder.
