John W. Beach May 19, 1937 – December 23, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card As of December 23, 2018, John Worth Beach is again able to fish in high alpine lakes, bicycle with friends; and travel around the world, no longer constrained by physical limitations. He made the best of life and was above all, a man of integrity. John was a of wisdom on many topics, ranging from faith to the Colorado Rockies.

He loved his family, church, the arts and mountain experiences. During his career and long into retirement, John volunteered for numerous organizations ranging from land conservation to human services and held active leadership roles within many where he thought his time could help make a difference in the community. The youngest of three children, John was born on May 19, 1937 to Charles and Thelma (Strickland) Beach in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

John’s family soon moved to Lakewood, Colorado where he grew up and graduated from the University of Colorado in 1959. After he married college sweetheart, Barbara Cory, they moved to Kansas City for John’s first corporate job and returned five years later to settle in Loveland where he was an engineer/plant manager at Lego. After a short stint as a self-employed safety consultant, John and two partners started a plastic molding business in 1973 and retired shortly after the business was sold in 1997.

His wife, Barbara, died in 1997 from cancer. He married Carol (Patrick) in 2000 but she passed away from a stroke in 2007. He is survived by his 3rd wife, Janet (Peterson) whom he married in 2009.

Other survivors include children: Stephanie Ouren (Douglas), Thomas (Amanda), Karen Beach (William) and Laurie Byrne (Daniel) and 5 grandchildren: Fletcher Ouren, Emma Byrne, Leah Byrne, Jared Lorey and Isabela Lorey. John is predeceased by siblings Mary Jones and Charles Beach, and grandson, Travis Ouren. Please join us for a celebratory service at First Baptist Church in Loveland on Thursday, January 17 at 2:00 pm.
