Obituary for John Wayne Palmer John Wayne Palmer, 77, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Sunday, January 6, 2019 at his home. He was born February 25, 1941 in Clayton, Missouri to Charles Lynn and Mary Louise Walthers Palmer. He and Carletta Jean Crow were married in November 1966.

She preceded in death on April 2, 2010. He attended Juden School in Cape Girardeau. He worked at the Pilot House 20 years.

He was a member of Eagles Aerie # 3775. Survivors include his two daughters, Belinda Jean (Roger) Idol of Lexington, North Carolina and Kathy Palmer of Rolla, Missouri; one son, David (Anita) Crabtree of Germantown, Illinois; one sister, Janet Menley of St. Joseph, Missouri; five grandchildren, Christopher Lynn, Matthew Lynn, Megan Bates, Katlin Crabtree and Madison Palmer; four great-grandchildren, Hadassah Lynn, Adelaide Lynn, Ila Lynn and Selah Lynn; and a former son-in-law, Dean Lynn of Cape Girardeau. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lynn and Mary Louise Palmer; and one sister, Joyce Hartwick.

Friends may call 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Friday, January 11, 2019 at Ford & Sons Mt.

Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Fred Burgard officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
