Jone Pruitt, age 85, of Frankton, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis following an extended illness. Jone was born on May 6, 1933, in Nashville, IN to the late Charles and Cora (Gates) Pruitt. On September 25, 1954, he married the love of his life Peggy Ann (Fern) Pruitt who passed away on Jan.

16, 2015. Jone retired after 35 years from the US Postal Service serving at the Anderson Post Office. He enjoyed farming and was a faithful member of Church of the First Born in Elwood.

Jone loved spending time with his family and friends. Jone is survived by his two daughters; Cindy Pruitt and Donna Pruitt both of Frankton, granddaughter, Candace (Braden) McDonald, great- grandchild, Kaiden Clevenger, several nieces & nephews. Jone was preceded in death by his parents; Charles & Cora Pruitt, wife; Peggy Ann Pruitt, 4 brothers; Edward, Wayne, Gene & Donald Pruitt, sister; Esther Sinkhorn.

Funeral service celebrating Jone’s life will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton with Revs. John Bays & Gary Leeman officiating. Burial will follow in the K. of P. and I.O.O.F.

Cemetery in Frankton with military honors conducted by the US Navy and the Elwood VFW Honor Guard. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton.
