Sherry Rae Creech, age 77, of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Elwood on June 28, 1941, to the late Thomas and Florence (Vautaw) Bush. On August 16, 1957 she married William “Troy” Creech and they shared over 61 years of marriage together.

Sherry was a homemaker most of her life. She loved watching NBA basketball games and loved watching sports on TV. She loved making crafts especially with her children when they were younger.

She enjoyed working word search puzzles and collected clowns, Emmett Kelly, Jr. was her favorite. Sherry loved the Christmas holidays and enjoyed decorating for the season. She loved caring for her home and family and enjoyed preparing large family dinners.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband, of 61 years, Troy Creech of Elwood; four sons, Bill (Karen) Creech of Marion, Tom Creech of Elwood, Todd (Marilee) Creech of Muncie, and Scott (Ginger) Creech of Elwood; daughter, Tracey (Charles) Kurtz of Elwood; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Connie (John) Hood of Elwood; and six nieces and nephews. Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Thomas T. Bush; and mother, Florence E. Bush. A funeral service to honor Sherry’s life will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, with Rev.

Ben Capshaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2018, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
