Tina L McPhearson, age 53, of Elwood, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, following a courageous battle with cancer. Tina was born on March 11, 1965 in Elwood, to the late Holland McKnight and Ramona (Shinkle) Capps. Tina was a homemaker who loved caring for her family.

Tina was very brave in her fight against cancer and was much stronger than she herself had realized. She fought damn hard and didn’t want cancer to win. Tina formerly sold Scentsy.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She loved cardinals, and believed that every one she saw, represented a visit from her mother. Tina is survived by 2 daughters, Brittney (Kreigh) Kehrt of Brazil and Tiffeny McPhearson of Elwood, step – son, Jason (Brooke) McPhearson of Elwood, 5 grandchildren, Aisah, Kaleb, Eligh, Ayden, and Bayleigh, brother, Audie (Teresa) McKnight of Fishers, 2 sisters, Lorra (Daryl) Horlander of Elwood and Teresa Fisher of Hobart, special friend, Chris Bronnenberg, and several nieces and nephews.

Tina was preceded in death by her father, Holland McKnight, and her mother, Ramona Capps, and special friends, Jack & Chris Miller. A funeral service celebrating Tina’s life will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Teddy Conn officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 am- 2 pm on Thursday, September 13, 2018 prior to the funeral service at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
