Carolyn Sue Shelton, age 74, of Elwood, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Community Hospital in Anderson surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born in Elwood on October 27, 1943, to the late Virgil Goble and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Goble Wisemiller. Carolyn was a graduate of Anderson High School.

Carolyn worked for numerous years at a local manufacturing company in Elwood. She was currently attending Windfall Pentecostal Church in Windfall. Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, collecting dolls, shopping, and especially enjoyed her shopping trips to Goodwill.

She loved diet Pepsi, Elvis Presley, enjoyed working puzzles, and loved watching the Hallmark Channel. Carolyn has a love for her pets, and more than anything she had a love for her family, especially her grandchildren. She will sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Carolyn is survived by two daughters, Brenda Singer of Elwood and Sue Ann (Dan) Crooke of Kimmell, IN, four grandsons, Cory Summers, Cody (Jamie) Summers, Chase Singer, and Dakota Singer, brother, George Goble, Virgil (Kathy) Goble, Jr., sister, Joy (Brian) Jullian, friend, Patrick Biltz, son-in-law, Dave Singer, ex husband, James (Diana) Shelton, and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was especially looking forward to the birth of her great grandson who is due to be born this month. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Goble, mother, Elizabeth Wisemiller, grandmother, Anna Mike, sister, Viola Nail, brother, Herbert Wisemiller, cousin, Geraldine Biltz friends, Sue Miller and Basil McDermitt.

Funeral service celebrating Carolyn’s life will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Tim Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
