Joseph’s Obituary Joseph W. Parks, Sr., 78, of Bangor, PA passed away Friday, February 15th, at his residence. Joseph was born in Phillipsburg, NJ on December 28, 1940, a son of the late Joseph W. and Florence (Weller) Parks. He was the widower of Janet M. Parks, who passed away February 28, 2018.

Joseph was employed as a machinist at the former Met-Ed Station in Portland, PA. After retiring, he was the business manager for Local 777 I.B.E.W in Reading, PA. He was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School.

Joseph served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed going to car shows, gardening, Indian Powwow’s, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Phillipsburg Masonic Lodge 52 F & A.M., the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Warren County Forrest 14, and the Wanderers Car Club in Sus, NJ.

Joseph is survived by a daughter, Deborah LeBar, wife of Allan, a son, Joseph W. Parks Jr., husband of Kristine Ordinsky-Parks, a brother, Richard Parks, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Joseph is preceded in death by two brothers Terry and Barry Parks. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 22nd at the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, “Village of Johnsonville”, Bangor, PA with Pastor Chris Priestaf officiating.

Family and friends are invited to call 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, February 21st at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the East Bangor Cemetery, East Bangor, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AWSOM, 3129 Godfrey Ridge Drive, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
