Robert’s Obituary Robert E. “Bob” Werner, 73, of Bangor, PA, passed away Monday, February 11th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Allentown, PA. Bob was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on September 2, 1945, a son of the late Francis and Elizabeth J. “Betty” (Lesoine) Werner. He was the husband of Darlene M. (Edinger) Werner.

They celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary last August. Bob was employed as a pipe fitter at the former Ingersol-Rand in Phillipsburg, NJ until retiring in 2001. He was a 1963 graduate of Bangor High School and received a degree in Culinary Arts from Northampton Community College in 2001.

Bob loved to cook and spend time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed watching Disney movies with his granddaughters. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Bangor, PA. Bob was a former Boy Scout Leader for Troop 102 in Bangor and was a member of the Bangor Alumni Assoc. He was an active member of the Blue Valley Farm Show, where he served as President for over 40 years.

Bob was also a member and past President of the Bangor Exchange Club, a member and Past Worshipful Master of the Portland Masonic Lodge 311 F & A.M. and a member of the Lehigh Valley Scottish Rite in Allentown. In addition to his wife, Darlene, Bob is survived by a daughter, BobbiJo Werner, a son, Brandon Werner, husband of Melissa, a brother, Thomas Werner, husband of Jeannine, and 3 granddaughters Samantha, Nikol, and Aria Werner. Funeral services will be held at 6 PM on Sunday, February 17th at Blue Valley Farm Show Auditorium, 707 American Bangor Road, Bangor, PA with Rev.

Michael J. Scholtes officiating. Family and friends are invited to call 3 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, February 17th at Blue Valley Farm Show Auditorium. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at St. John’s Cemetery, Bangor, PA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., “Village of Johnsonville”, Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc.
