Joseph Wesley “Joe” Dease, 60, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence. Memorial services will be 6:00 PM, Friday, April 6, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 PM, prior to the services.

Mr. Dease was born on October 3, 1957 in Monroe, NC, son of the late Reverend Joseph Kermit Dease and Lois Raley Dease. He was a graduate of Timmonsville High School and a member of Coward Baptist Church. Joe was the owner/operator of Joseph Dease Construction and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and playing his guitar.

Surviving are his children, Wesley Dease and Madison Williams and their mother, Laura Williams, all of Effingham; sisters, Dale (Bill) Haselden and Wanda (Bob) Collins, both of Summerville; brother, George (Barbara) Dease of Scranton; niece, Rachel Reinhard; nephews, Courtney Dease and Will Haselden; and special friends and caretakers, Helen, Bruce and Sarah Tanner. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 East Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
