Juanita Skelton went to see Jesus on September 18, 2018 after a brief illness at her home in Midlothian, where she was surrounded by love. The celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 06, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Driggers & Decker Family Funeral Home in Red Oak. Graveside service will take place on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Locker Cemetery, San Saba County, Texas.

Everyone is welcome. Juanita was born on November 30, 1922 to Alvin A . and Mary White in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

She married her beloved husband, J.E. Skelton at the age of 15 and they had 4 children and shared 59 years together. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother; always taking care of everyone with a kind spirit and ready smile. When her kids were in trouble she would start singing hymns and they would straighten up immediately.

She enjoyed laughing and visiting with family and worked hard all her life to take care of her family. Juanita never met a stranger, she loved talking to everybody. She was kind and generous and would give anyone her last penny or the shirt off her back.

She was a devoted mother and her children always knew how much she loved them. Her family and friends will remember her for her beautiful smile and vivid sense of humor. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Skelton; son, Donald Skelton; grandson, Clay Carroll; sisters, Virginia Hendricks, Roberta Beckham, Bonnie Pierce and brother, Cameron White.

She is survived by daughters, Toni Carroll and her husband, Clayton; Debbie Corkin and her husband, Andy; son, Kelly Skelton and his wife, Diana; daughter-in-law, Ginger Skelton; grandchildren, Kristy, Laura, Bryce, Lance, Stephen, Brian, Tracer and Trinitee; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vertice Land and Camilla Jones and many other relatives and friends.
