Judith’s Obituary Judith Ann Valentine, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Messiah Village after a lengthy illness. Born December 16, 1939 in La Porte, IN, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Ann Marie (Tevnan) Valentine. Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, John W. Osborn; her daughter, Dr. Valentine M. Osborn; her son, Timothy W. Osborn and wife Tracy Metz; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; as well as her step-daughters, Lida Finlayson and Elizabeth Bostrum.

Judy was a graduate of LaPorte High School in LaPorte, IN and went on to study music, speech, and theater at Indiana University. She was a talented actress and singer and had extensive involvement in productions at local theaters. She was a fiercely independent woman who worked much of her life, eventually finding success as an entrepreneur.

She was adventurous and enjoyed traveling extensively with friends and family. Viewing will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, May 24 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg. Burial will take place in New Westside Cemetery on Martha’s Vineyard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
