June Anne Stafford, 89, of Galveston, went home to be with the Lord at 12:40 am Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Waterford Place Health Campus in Kokomo. She was born December 5, 1929, the daughter of Harry and Dena (Vaughn) Cohee. She married Jack C. Stafford, March 25, 1951 in Young America.

Jack preceded her in death on September 5, 2012. June Anne was well known for her catering of weddings for many years. She was an excellent cook and seamstress.

She was a charter member of the sugar and spice home ec club and member of the Center United Methodist Church. June Anne was always working on a project she enjoyed quilting and handiwork. During her stay at Waterford Place, she enjoyed bingo and crafts.

Surviving family include her two sons, Jeff (Jerri) Stafford and Dana (Valeria) Stafford both of Galveston; grandchildren, Kyra (Tim) Miller, Walton; Andrea (Lewis) Curry, Noblesville; Kami (Josh) Meador, Oakwood, OH; and Kassi (Drew) Otte of West Lafayette; great grandchildren, Madison, Morgan and Kadence Miller; Garrett and Riley Meador; Jackson and Maxwell Curry; and Hayden and Weston Otte. June is also survived by her siblings, Jean Beamer, Camden; JoEllen (Glen) Snyder, Logansport; Jim (Sandy) Cohee, Galveston and Jan (Rosetta) Cohee of Bringhurst. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother-in-laws, Alan Harless and Junior Beamer.

Visitation will take place from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 27th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28th also at the funeral home with Pastor John Newman officiating.

Burial will follow at Center Cemetery near Young America. Memorial contributions may be given to the Center United Methodist Church. Murray Weaver Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
