June’s Obituary Hinckley- June M. LaCombe, 95 passed away January 23, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Chittenango, NY August 18, 1923 a daughter of Albert and Sarah Mullen Emhof. She grew up in South Trenton and graduated from Holland Patent High school.

On April 26, 1941 she was united in marriage with James F. LaCombe. He died August 27, 1981. June assisted her husband as a book keeper in the operation of Jim’s Sunoco on Trenton Road.

She was also employed at Griffiss Air Force Base as a secretary. She was a member of the South Trenton Presbyterian Church. June was an avid bowler and enjoyed puzzles, knitting and crocheting.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Allan and RuthAnn LaCombe, Bellvue, FL, Albert and Theresa LaCombe, Frankfort and Martin and LeeAnne LaCombe, Hinckley; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Lee LaComb in 1986 and two sisters, Doris Palmer and Alberta Reis. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Ackley-Mills Funeral Home, 9597 Main Street, Remsen.
