Knaefler, 56, of Telford, PA entered into rest on Thursday, February 21st, 2019 at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, PA. Karen was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Lawrence C. and Laura (Whittaker) Knaefler. A graduate of Souderton High School class of 1980, she earned a BA degree in Early Childhood Education from Covenant College, Georgia.

She received her MS degree in Christian Counseling from Philadelphia College of the Bible (Cairn University), in 1995. Karen was employed as a Wedding Photographer for Anthony’s Photography for many years. She was a member of Calvary Church, Souderton, PA where she enjoyed the Bible study groups and many social activities.

Karen’s love for photography began as a hobby with her natural eye for detail, perspective and color. She excelled as a professional photographer and also created memories of family gatherings and activities with friends. Karen enjoyed all types of music, participated in several choirs, and attended concerts.

The beach was Karen’s place to relax. She enjoyed trips to the shore and the Bahamas. Devoted to her family, she was a compassionate person with a wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by three sisters, Marjorie G. Knaefler of Telford, PA, Carol McDermott her husband Thomas of Holland, PA, and Barbara K. Moyer her husband Gary of Quakertown, PA; two brothers, Charles B. Knaefler and his companion Marianne DeBellis of Schwenksville, PA. and Lawrence C. Knaefler, Jr. of Telford and Susan Knaefler of Schwenksville, PA; and 5 nieces and nephews – Andy, Amanda, Kaytie, Chris & Lawrence. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark A. Knaefler.

Friends may meet with the family from 10 to 11am on February 28th, 2019 at Calvary Church, 820 Souderton Road (Route 113), Souderton, PA 18964, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. A private burial will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
