Harwinton- Karen F. Goodwin, 75, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of John L. Goodwin. Mrs. Goodwin was born in Torrington on May 12, 1943, daughter of the late John and Doris (Amutice) Zbell and had been a lifelong area resident.

She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harwinton. Karen enjoyed gardening, raising dogs, and most of all, spending time with her family. Survivors, in addition to her husband, John, include a son, Larry Goodwin and his wife Tammy of Bristol; two brothers, Wayne Zbell and his wife Mary of Torrington and Bruce Zbell of Florida; and a grandson, William Goodwin of New Milford.

Mrs. Goodwin was predeceased by a son, Christopher J. Goodwin, Sr.; a daughter, Kelli Ann Goodwin; a grandson, C.J. Goodwin, Jr.; and a brother, Jeffrey Zbell. Services and burial in East Cemetery, Harwinton, will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
