Kathleen Brooks Sharp June 26, 1945 – January 07, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kathleen Brooks Sharp, 73, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. The family will receive friends and visitors on Sunday, January 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Bishop Chapel of Memories.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adrian Ellis, Bhavik Patel, Eric Giles, Caleb Giles, Johnny Kline, and Randy Laudermilk. She was born on June 26, 1945 to Herbert and Martha Brooks in Wewoka.

After graduating high school, she married Richard “Grady” Sharp on July 6, 1968. She taught preschool for 20 years at Peanut Butter and Jelly and Precious Friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Grady Sharp.

Kathy is survived by her brother: Tony Brooks and wife, Ollie of Corn; sister: Sharon Brooks of Oklahoma City; sister: Lucy Brooks of Dallas, Texas; children: Stephen Sharp of Hartshorne, Dani Sharp of McAlester, Beth Giles and husband, Eric Giles of McAlester; grandchildren: Breanna Byrd, Destiny Sennett, Mason Bumphus, Stephanie Hurley, Erickson Giles, Aidan Giles, Caitlin Giles, and Caleb Giles, great-grandchildren: Quinton, Izzac, Eli, Paisleigh, and Rayleigh; as well as several brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. The family wishes to mention a special thanks to Heartland Hospice.
