Donald Gene Laudermilk January 30, 1937 – February 24, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Donald Gene Laudermilk, 82, of Hartshorne, died Sunday, Feb. 24, in McAlester. The family will welcome friends at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home with Mona Thomason officiating.

Burial will follow at Bache-Red Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kyle Moody, Jesse James, Cody Edwards, Shannon Edwards, Isaac James, Andy Thomason, Jason Tucker and James Barr. Donald Gene Laudermilk was born on Jan.

30, 1937 in Hartshorne to Dewey Monroe and Ollie Josephine (Williams) Laudermilk. He grew up in Hartshorne and graduated from Hartshorne High School in 1955. He worked in construction as a concrete finisher for a number of years, and later worked in the maintenance department of Haileyville Schools.

He had also served in the U. S. Army and the Army National Guard for over 7 years. He and Mary Frances Thomason were married on July 1, 1978 in Haileyville. In his spare time, Donald enjoyed fishing and spending time with family.

He was affiliated with the Gloryland Baptist Church. Donald is survived by his wife, Mary Laudermilk of the home; children, Terri Edwards and John of Alderson, Paula James and Joe of Higgins, Clint Moody of Haileyville and Kim Dunham and David of McAlester; grandchildren, Kyle and Crystal Moody, Jesse and Jessica James, Isaac and Jackie James, Brandie and James Barr, Amber and Jason Tucker, Cody Edwards, Shannon and Ashleigh Edwards, Keaton and Casey Moody, Clayton Moody and Clinton Ray Moody; great grandchildren, Lainey Lordahl, Zane Lordahl, Mekhi Barr, James Barr, Jr., Landry Tucker, Bryce James, Hunter James, Braylee Edwards, Lily Edwards, Wyatt Edwards, Kyndi Edwards, Gage James, Mackenzie James, Reese James, Joleigh James and Kolter Moody. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Tommy and Johnny Laudermilk, and 2 grandchildren, Andrea Hollis and Naconna Bennett.
