Rev. Kenneth Arlen Richards Sr. passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 6:38 am, at Ballad Hawkins County Hospital. He was the former pastor and a current member of Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church.

He also pastored in Jackson, TN, when he lived there. His voice could be heard for many years on WRGS radio station where he preached the gospel every Sunday morning from 8:00 am to 8:30 am. He and his late wife, Pauline, founded and operated East Tennessee Pest Control for the last 47 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Richards; parents, Rex and Vivian Richards; brothers, Roy F. Richards and J.W. Richards; son-in-law, A.J. Keirsey; nephew, Timothy Richards. Survivors include his three daughters, Pamela (Jerry) Manis, Tammy Keirsey, and Tina (Justin) Johnson; one son, Kenneth (Adra) Richards Jr.; nine grandchildren, Rebecca (Josh) Trent, Rex Manis, Lisa (Steven) Helton, Angel (Micah) Crigger, Kenny (Brittany) Richards, Tyler Goins, Britney Davis, Seth Richards, Larkin Richards; ten great grandchildren, Abbie and Carter Trent, Caleb, Bethany, and Micah Helton, Gabriel Crigger, Samuel and Seth Manis, Jason and Caleb Richards; several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; several cousins, nieces and nephews; a host of friends, employees of East Tennessee Pest Control; and special friends he met with daily for breakfast. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ricky Gilliam and fellow ministers of the gospel officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Providence County Line Cemetery.
