Kenneth Wayne Rice, 65, of Rogers Lake Road, Kannapolis, NC, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Atrium Health-Northeast, Concord, NC. He was born May 2, 1953 in Cabarrus County to the late Archie L. Rice, Sr. and the late Eva Blackmon Rice. Kenneth was educated in the Cabarrus County School System.

He was formerly employed with Asphalt Company. Kenneth attended Bethel AME Zion Church and various other churches. Services are incomplete at this time.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Tianta D. Johnson; a daughter, Sheniqua Johnson; a brother, Archie Rice, Jr. and a sister, Priscilla R. Brown. Those left to cherish fond memories include a son, Natreon J. Jordan, Sr. of Frederick, MD; two daughters, Jodi Biggers (Anderson) of Concord, LaShonda Johnson of Kannapolis; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Franklin of Kannapolis, Sarah Torrence (Ed) of Kannapolis, Valerie Propst (Michael) of China Grove, Beverly Franklin of Kannapolis, Rhonda Rice of Salisbury; seven brothers, Phillip Rice of Concord, Ronald Rice (Sandra) of Kannapolis, William Rice (Estelle) of Kannapolis, Randall Rice (Sandy) of Kannapolis, Robin Rice (Robin) of Melbourne, FL, Barry Rice of Indian Trail, NC; Steven Rice of Kannapolis; special friend, Vanessa Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
