Mr. King F. Bailey, 86, of Village Dr., died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Henry Etta and Bruce Hinkle Hospice House. He was born in Gaffney, South Carolina to John Eddie Bailey and Lula Watkins Bailey on June 26, 1932. He graduated from Dunbar High School in May of 1952.

He served in the United State Army during the Korean Conflict and received several awards. He retired from Dixie Furniture after over 30 years of service and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alma Hill Bailey; a sister, Sabina L. Weldon and two brothers, John Eddie Bailey and Rufus Bailey.

King is survived by his brother, James (Carla) Bailey of British Columbia; two devoted nieces, Mary Rufenia Burns of Lexington and Felicia Hairston of High Point; three other nieces: Felicia and Natalie Bailey both of British Columbia and Rosalind (Michael) Harris; a nephew, Marcus Bailey of British Columbia; three step children: Estella Witherspoon, Hartman Banks and James (Kathy) Banks and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Monday at Union Baptist Church at 3:00pm with family visitation at 2:30pm. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with full military honors.
