Claudine Cheek April 2, 1930 – January 5, 2019 Claudine Cheek, 88 of Winston Salem, NC was born April 2, 1930 in Roanoke, VA to the late John and Queenie Beverly. She was surrounded by family when she departed this world for her heavenly home Saturday night, January 5, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. She began her career with the Winston Salem Forsyth County public schools as an aide.

She continued her career with the Department of Social Services for 25 years, retiring in 1995. Claudine was a God fearing woman and loved to talk to everyone about her relationship with God. She was a 75 year Gold Star member of First Baptist Church and loved her church family.

In addition to her parents, Claudine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Julius Matthews Cheek, Jr. Left to cherish loving memories are her dedicated children Darlene C. Stephenson, Darrell L. Cheek, and granddaughter, Malita Fulp. The family will receive friends 1:30pm Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 700 N. Highland Ave.

Funeral services will follow at 2pm.
