Lair B. Hinston II died unexpectedly Monday, March 18, 2019, at home. Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Lori J. (Robison) Hinston. Born July 13, 1960 in Williamsport, he is a son of James H. and Ann M. (Mosteller) Hinston, of Williamsport.

Lair was a graduate of Williamsport High School and worked as a mechanic for Dixon AC&R and also Kibbe Boiler. He enjoyed camping and canoeing, motocross racing playing his guitar, working with all things mechanical and especially playing chess with his grandson. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are three children, Chrystal Hinston, Lair Hinston III (Heather) and Joshua Hinston; two grandsons and three step-grandsons; three siblings; David Hinston (Jen Kuntz), Michael Hinston (Kim) and Cindy Beck (John); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be announced by Lair’s family at a later date.
