Obituary for Larry Dean Crisler Larry Dean Crisler, 79, of Marietta, GA, passed away on October 18, 2018. He was a son of George Addison Crisler and Velma Spear Crisler, and was born on May 29, 1939, in Commerce, GA. He grew up in Marietta, graduated from Marietta High School, Class of 1957, and attended Maple Avenue Methodist Church.

Larry attended North Georgia College, Southern Tech, and Georgia Tech, and served in the United States Army. His working career was with Union Special Corporation, Chicago, IL, and served in many positions across the United States, plus traveled abroad in his work during his over 40 years with the Company. After retiring at age 62, Larry moved back home to Marietta.

Following his death, Larry is survived by his sister Carol Crisler (Leslie) Cowart; nephews Roger Crisler (Cheryl) and Scott Crisler (Brenda Bonecutter); niece Elizabeth Cowart Tingle; grand nieces Chelsea Crisler, Chloe Crisler; grand nieces Caroline Cowart and Kadence Cowart; grand nephews Patrick Cowart and Matthew Cowart; sister-in-law Peggy Crisler Rodway; former wife Ludette Crisler; and many cousins, including David Camp of the area. Also, Larry is survived by three dear friends of 60 years, James Merritt (Fina), Charlotte Hipps (Don, deceased), and Robert Elrod (Pam). Predeceasing Larry were his parents George and Velma Crisler, brother Virlyn Crisler, stepmother Ava Camp Crisler, stepbrother Joe Camp, nephews Charles Cowart and David Crisler, stepdaughter Tesa Torres, and cousin Jodee Camp.

Larry was considered by his family and friends to be a true gentleman, honorable, fun-loving, and kind. He will be truly missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home, 180 Church Street, Marietta, GA 30060, and interment will be at Mountain View Park Cemetery, 410 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, GA.
