Obituary for Natalie Roy King Natalie Vere Roy King, age 75, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died on October 12 due to complications of Interstitial Lung Disease. Born November 26, 1942, to William and Nena Roy in New Orleans, Louisiana, she moved to Marietta in 1970. Mrs. King attended Florida State University and was a travel agent for over twenty years.
When Mr. and Mrs. King moved to Marietta, they made their home in the Westgate neighborhood community and formed friendships that have lasted almost 50 years. Mrs. King was an avid tennis player while her children were growing up. Her volunteer activities included Cobb Marietta Junior League and MUST Ministries.
After retirement, she enjoyed Mahjong and played twice a week for many years. Always having to remain busy, she would either have a cross-word puzzle, a book, or a needlepoint in hand. Her passion was to travel and Lake Como and Lake Louise were on the top of her favorites list.
Above all, she cherished her family. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Conrad King, who died in 2009. She is survived by her four children, daughter Elizabeth King (Heath) and husband Elliott of Marietta, GA, son Thomas King of Ridgefield, CT, son William King and his wife Julianne of Alpharetta, GA, and daughter Katherine King (Harrison) and husband Joshua of Raleigh, NC.
She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Natalie (Flynn), Emmie, and Conrad Heath; Charlotte and Henry King; Kaitlyn, Lauren, and Alexa King; and Scarlet and Greta Harrison, and the new baby Harrison due in April of 2019. In addition to her family, she is survived by her significant other, Ronald Caffrey of Marietta, GA. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Marietta.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. in the parlor.
