Snow Camp – Larry “Chicken” Wayne Morris, 74, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 suddenly. He was born on July 21, 1944 in Alamance County to the late Willie Greenwood Morris and Mallie Lee Harris Morris, and was the husband to Barbara Lee Murdock Morris of 51 years who survives. Larry was the owner and president of Larry W. Morris Trucking, Inc

He was an avid NASCAR fan and worked with NASCAR for over 35 years as a Transporter. Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather… Read More » who enjoyed having a good time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors other than his wife, Barbara Morris include his son and daughter-in-law, Tracy Wayne Morris and Shawn Morris; grandsons, Casey Wayne Morris and Chance Ratchford; a brother, David Lee Morris and wife, Faye; numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Morris, Bill Morris, Jerry “Pete” Morris, Sr. and Douglas Morris. The family will be receiving friends for a gathering from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, October 12, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.

The family will be having a celebration service of Larry’s life at a later date.
