Larry’s Obituary BURKE, Larry William – of Durand, MI/Englewood, FL, formerly of Davison, age 70, passed away January 18, 2019 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 11:30 AM Monday, January 28, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI. Burial with Military Honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post #267 will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm Sunday and 10:00 am until time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation. Larry was born in Poplar Bluff, MO on December 14, 1948, son of Burrell and Joyce (Shelton) Burke.

He married his high school sweetheart, LaVonne on October 7, 1967. Larry proudly served his country with the United States Army, 25th Infantry Division, 2/27 “Wolfhounds” in Vietnam. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer and was especially proud of his slice of heaven on earth the “Triple B Ranch”.

Larry loved spending time with his family. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Operating Engineers Local #324 for 52 years. Larry is survived by his wife; LaVonne E. Burke, daughters, Andrea Perry (Chris Lee) and Trisha Burke (Tod Watkins); grandchildren, Landon Perry, Alaina Perry, Victoria Burke and Chloe Lee; mother, Joyce Burke; siblings, David Burke (Dianne), Bill (Michelle) Burke, Richard Burke and Stephanie (Ric) Collins; many nieces, nephews and special friends.
