Obituary for Lauretta Tate Lauretta A (Hancock) Tate, 82, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Good Samaritan Home. She was born on July 8, 1935 in Evansville to Joyce (Turpin) and Clifton Hancock. Lauretta was the bookkeeper for her husband`s construction company.

She loved to read and play cards. Lauretta was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert L. Tate, II; children, Valerie (Dennis) Conn, Karen (Robert) Scott, Chris (Julee) Tate, David Tate, Leslie (Bruce) Whipkey and Kevin Tate; grandchildren, Laura Cacei, Robert Mangold, Eric Scott, Mandi Jillson, James McClemon, Sarah Lord, Crystal Rickman, Michael Galloway, Corbet Ashby, Jacob Tate, John Tate, Jocelyn Tate, A.J. Whipkey and Sarah Loscher; many great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Gizella) Hancock; half sister, Michelle Hancock; and Nieces and Nephews. Lauretta was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Robert L. Tate, III and James Michael Allen Tate; grandson, Larry Scott. Visitation will be 12:00 to 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 North First Avenue.

Funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be made online at www.
