Lena’s Obituary Lena Mae Scrivner, 71, of Oxford and formerly of Indianola, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at The Blake in Oxford. She was born January 4, 1948 in Cleveland, Mississippi to Rual Thomas and Fleda Elizabeth Fulton Scrivner. Lena graduated from Linn High School as Valedictorian of her class in 1966.

She worked for Peoples Bank for 19 years and Planters Bank for 5 years prior to her retirement. Lena was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, watching birds, and cooking.

She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Indianola. Lena was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son, Buster Warren and his wife Felicia of Greer, South Carolina; one daughter, Buffy Upton and her husband Michael of Oxford, Mississippi; one sister, Sara Downs and her husband Lawrence of Indianola; three grandchildren, Hayden Warren, Conner Upton, and Thomas Upton.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Linn United Methodist Church in Shaw. Burial will follow in Linn Methodist Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
