Rogersville: Lillian Gardner Astbury, age 92, of Rogersville, passed away, Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Wellington Manor in Newport. She was retired from Fisher Scientific. Mrs. Astbury was a member of Cedar Hill Christian Church.

She was a lifelong member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #21 and VFW Auxiliary Post #9543. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Astbury; parents, Ezra Doran and Linnie Abboleen Kinser Trent; daughter, Teresa Sisson. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Davis and husband, Danny Goodbar of Roanoke, VA; son, Phillip Gardner and wife, Rachel of Rogersville; grandchildren, Nickole Sisson, Lee Minnich and wife, Heather, Jon Gardner and wife, Alyson, Dawnetta Taylor and husband, Brian, Angel Allen and husband, David, Phillip Moreau and wife, Jennifer; 16 great-grandchildren including special great-grandson, Bryce Taylor and special great-granddaughter, Xyla Moreau; one great-great granddaughter.

Visitation hours will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 3, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robbie Drinnon officiating.

Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 4, 2019 in Lee Memorial Gardens, Pennington Gap, VA. Online condolences may be made at www. broomefuneralhome.com Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville is honored to serve the Astbury family.
