Linda Louise Wood April 10, 1956 – January 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Linda Louise Wood, age 62, of Vassar, MI formerly of Mayville, MI passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital in Lapeer, MI surrounded by her family. Linda was born April 10, 1956 in Detroit, MI to Floyd and Geraldine (Stroud) Trojanek. She graduated from high school, was a graduate of Wabash Valley College with a degree in Childhood Development.

Linda owned and operated Rainbow Day Care in her home and raised many children always treating them as they were her own. She loved Scrapbooking, coloring and gifted many of the pictures she colored to her friends. Linda was a loving, kind and generous woman, always positive.

She attended the First United Methodist Church of Vassar. Linda always enjoyed helping with the youth activities. Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Jeremy (Heather) Wood of Evansville, IN and Jessica Wood of Mayville MI; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Brian Trojanek; one sister, Wendy Carithers; the staff and residents of Stratman’s Manor in Vassar, MI; special friends, Linda Brooks and Pat Vaught; and her group of Red Hat ladies she enjoyed having lunch with once a month.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Pruitt; and her father, Floyd Trojanek. A Memorial Service will be held at 1PM Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Vassar First United Methodist Church with Reverend Scott Sherrill officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12 PM until the time of service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Vassar. Friends may share an online condolence with the family at www. avramfuneralhome.com.
